Mapusa: In a remarkable display of innovation and skill, 10-year-old Vedang Anay Kamat from Saraswat Vidyalaya has made Goa proud by representing the state at the Robotex India National Championship held in Pune. Vedang’s outstanding performance earned him two prestigious qualifications for the international championship in Estonia.
Vedang’s exceptional robotics skills secured him the top spot in the Lego Line Follower category, paving the way for his international debut. He also impressed with a second-place finish in the Line Follower category, solidifying his position as a top young robotics talent in India. Additionally, he demonstrated his prowess in drone technology, scoring 280 points in just 4 minutes in the Drone Aviation Challenge.
What’s remarkable about Vedang’s achievement is that he is self-trained with the support of his parents and school, showcasing the potential of young minds in Goa. His ability to build robots with distinct designs and code highlights his creativity and problem-solving skills.
Vedang will represent India at the Robotex International Championship in Estonia, where he will compete against the best young robotics talents from around the world. His achievement serves as an inspiration to aspiring robotics enthusiasts in Goa and beyond.
