LAWLESSNESS IN CALANGUTE EXPOSES BJP’S GUNDARAJ – GOANS NO LONGER FEEL SAFE
Panjim :- It is deeply disturbing and shameful that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrates 11 years in power, Goans are reeling under 11 years of fear, insecurity, and lawlessness.
In yet another horrifying incident that exposes the complete collapse of law and order under the BJP Government in Goa, a group of goons brazenly walked into a renowned Biryani restaurant in Calangute, dined without paying, physically assaulted the restaurant staff, and fled the scene. The entire act was caught on CCTV.
More than 60 hours have passed since this incident. Despite the availability of clear video evidence, the Goa Police has failed to identify, trace, or arrest the culprits. This inaction raises a serious question — Are the Goa Police working to protect citizens or shielding criminals with political connections?
I demand an explanation from DGP Goa and the North Goa Superintendent of Police:
• Why haven’t these criminals been arrested yet?
• What is stopping the department from acting despite having CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts?
• Who are these goons, and which political patronage protects them?
This incident is not isolated. It is a reflection of the rotting governance under Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, where criminal elements roam freely, and tourism stakeholders live in constant fear.
Minister @RohanKhaunte’s repeated claims of “Safe & Smart Tourism” stand exposed as a blatant lie. What kind of “safe tourism” is this where goons assault workers in broad daylight in Goa’s tourism belt, and not a single arrest is made for days?
The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee strongly condemns this incident and the utter failure of the state machinery to respond. We stand with the restaurant staff who were assaulted and with every Goan and tourist who feels unsafe due to this government’s inaction.
Goa is not a jungle. It is our peaceful, beautiful homeland — and we will not allow BJP’s Gundaraj to destroy it.
We demand:
1. Immediate arrest of the culprits involved.
2. Suspension of police officers who failed to act in time.
3. Accountability from the Chief Minister and Tourism Minister for the deteriorating law and order.
Goans deserve dignity, safety, and real governance — not fear, violence, and indifference.
