Minister Vishwajit Rane Inspects Cancer Super Speciality Hospital Site
Panaji : Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today visited and inspected the ongoing construction of the Tertiary Centre for Cancer Care, which will be Goa’s first Cancer Super Speciality Hospital. This landmark initiative aims to revolutionize cancer treatment in the state, offering advanced and comprehensive care to patients.
In collaboration with the Tata Memorial Centre, the hospital will focus on cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care. Additionally, it will support academic programs, clinical research, and maintain a hospital-based cancer registry, further strengthening oncology services in Goa.
Accompanying Minister Rane was Dr. Shivanand Bandekar, Dean of Goa Medical College (GMC), whose expertise and guidance will play a crucial role in shaping this state-of-the-art facility. The project is expected to significantly improve accessibility to high-quality cancer care for Goans, ensuring a holistic approach to cancer management in the state.
