PHC Colvale gets NQAS Certified; 2nd Non Beded PHC in North Goa to get certified
Arpora :- After getting AAM-SHC Arpora-Nagoa and PHC Candolim NQAS certified, Dr Roshan Nazareth Health Officer PHC Candolim who was given additional charge of PHC Colvale to prepare it for NQAS Certification, got PHC Colvale qualified, confirming to the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) (NQAS Certified) with a score of 81.19%. It is the second non-bedded PHC after PHC Mayem in North Goa to be NQAS Certified. The facility was assessed on 19th and 20th of May 2025 by Assessors from National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi.
Dr Roshan Nazareth was ably assisted in this process by the excellent work put in by the Nodal Officer of the Quality Team of PHC Colvale Dr Nidhi Sawant and the four Departmental Heads namely Dr.Swati Gauns (General Administration), Dr. Harshita Sawant (National Health Programme), Dr. Shweta Kumbhar (Laboratory) and Dr. Sneha Naik Chopdekar (OPD) and their respective teams. All the Staff of PHC Colvale were actively a part of this process and got it NQAS ready in record time during his short tenure there under his leadership. In getting the facility infrastructure NQAS ready a lot of hard work put was in by Mr.Prasad Gaonkar (UDC) and Mr. Santosh Gaonkar (Sanitary Inspector) along with their subordinates and the Subcentre Staff.
They were guided by Dr Ujwala Prabhudessai, Nodal Officer (Quality), Goa State, Dr Siddhi Ghatwal State Consultant, Quality and Dr Nadine Mesquita, North Goa District Consultant (Quality) under the directions of the Director DHS, Dr Rupa Naik.
