North Goa Police Organises Educational Visits and Cyber Awareness Sessions for School studants

Panaji :-  part of Goa Police’s ongoing community engagement and student outreach initiatives, multiple police stations across North Goa hosted educational visits for school students to foster trust, increase awareness about law enforcement, and sensitize them to pressing issues like cybercrime, drug abuse, and traffic safety.

In the morning hours, students from Panchakroshi High School, Alorna, Pernem visited Mopa Airport Police Station. The visit was coordinated under the guidance of PI Shri Narayan Chimulkar, who, along with his team, welcomed the students and faculty. The students were introduced to various police personnel including Beat Officers and office staff, and were familiarized with the station’s day-to-day functioning. They were also sensitized about cybercrime, traffic rules, and the new criminal laws. The interaction was highly engaging and allowed students to clarify their doubts in a friendly environment.

Simultaneously, Mapusa Police Station hosted students from Dnyanprassarak High School and Janata High School, Bardez. The students were given a detailed briefing on the functioning of the police station. A Cyber Crime Awareness Program was also held in the conference hall, where PI Mapusa and PSI Aditya Gad, along with subordinate staff, addressed the students on various forms of cybercrime and practical safety tips to avoid becoming victims.

In another initiative, around 40 students from Kasturba Matoshri High School visited Panaji Police Station. They were introduced to the work of the police and sensitized about cyber threats and the dangers of drug abuse. SP North Goa personally also interacted with the students, encouraging them to stay informed and make positive life choices, including pursuing meaningful and ethical career paths.

These visits are part of Goa Police’s broader commitment to engage with the youth and promote responsible citizenship through awareness, education, and transparency in policing.
