GOA IS BLEEDING UNDER BJP’S GUNDARAJ — CONGRESS DEMANDS ACTION ON RISING CRIME & DRUG Racket

The law and order situation in Goa has gone from bad to terrifying under the misrule of DrPramod Sawant and the BJP Government. In just a few weeks, Goa has seen a horrifying string of crimes — gruesome murders, assaults on minors, sword attacks in public, and now, a massive 30 KG ganja bust in Mapusa.

Is Goa still a tourism state — or has it become BJP’s lawless laboratory?

On June 10th, the Crime Branch seized 30 kilograms of ganja worth over ₹40 lakh from two individuals in Mapusa. This was not a petty peddling incident — this was part of a full-fledged drug cartel operating under political and administrative blindness.

From Panaji’s casino murder to assaults in Calangute, Kidnaping in Ponda and now narcotics on the streets of Mapusa & Sword attack in Curchorem — Goans are asking:

Who is running this state?
Who is shielding the criminals?
Who is accountable for this collapse?

Congress Demands Immediate Action

We demand:
1. A high-level, independent probe into the drug trafficking racket, involving central agencies like the NCB.
2. Public accountability from the Chief Minister and Home Department on the crime surge.
3. Immediate suspension of officers who failed to act or allowed these crimes to flourish under their watch.

This is Not Governance — This is Jungle Raj. Goa Police must answer: are they working for the BJP or for the people of Goa?

When villagers are attacked with swords, minors are assaulted, and drugs are transported in cars across towns — and yet, the CM remains silent — it is not incompetence, it is complicity.

Congress Will Not Stay Silent

We, the Indian National Congress, stand with every Goan who demands peace, safety, and dignity. We will raise this issue in every forum — inside the Assembly and on the streets of Goa.

Goans will not stay silent anymore. The demand for justice is loud and clear.
