Prize Distribution Ceremony of the State Level Qazaq Qures Championships Held with Great Enthusiasm
Mapusa: The State Level Qazaq Qures Championships were held with great enthusiasm at Peddem, Mapusa-Goa. The Konda group emerged as the overall champion by securing an impressive total of 30 medals. The Mapusa group followed closely with 29 medals, earning the second position, while the Panaji group claimed the third position with 22 medals.
Participants from across the country took part in the championship, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere throughout the day. The event inspired young students, especially those interested in wrestling, showcasing the potential of traditional sports in shaping the future careers of the youth.
The competition was conducted across various weight categories: 40kg, 44kg, 48kg, 52kg, 56kg, 60kg, 66kg, 70kg, 78kg, 82kg, 90kg, and 100kg. In each weight group, athletes were awarded medals in bronze, silver, and gold categories.
To successfully organize this championship, several individuals extended their valuable support and contributions. In recognition of their efforts, many were honored with awards and felicitated during the event.
